I purchased the skid plate set and wanted to personally let you know how well the differential skid plate performed.
I recently took my Subaru Forester on a trip to Big Bend National Park. On the second day, while traversing some very rough back roads, I encountered several extremely difficult obstacles. The differential skid plate truly did its job — it sacrificed itself protecting my vehicle. I’ve attached photos showing the damage.
Without that skid plate, I honestly doubt I would have been able to make it back out.
I had a couple of questions:
Do you recycle damaged skid plates? I’d hate to simply throw it away and waste such high‑quality aluminum.
What is the best way to order a replacement differential skid plate?
