These heavy duty rear strut tops are made from higher durometer rubber (stiffer) so that the strut unit deflects less under normal use and can stand up to big hits and jumps. STi designed these strut tops to replace your stock soft rubber bushings to greatly improve handling and performance with stiffer bushings, allowing the suspension to work more efficiently. Strut tops are a maintenance item and replacement should be considered whenever changing springs or struts because the strut top needs to be removed when changing struts or springs and the labor is considerable, so do it right the first time.
