| Direct bolt-on to most 4EAT auto transmission. Some modifications might be needed if you have an after-market exhaust or a pre-2004 model car. The formed aluminum is louvered for the best heat dissipation while protecting all those sensitive solenoids located just above the flat belly pan of the 4EAT automatic transmission. Great skid plate and is easy to install using existing hardware. Just use caution not to create a case leak when installing. You are loosening the transmission case bolts and using them to install this skid plate over the belly of the transmission. |

Fits my 2006 Turbo Baja with sport shift just fine, I was worried about clearance to the external transmission filter but it fits fine and bolts right up just like it's cousin the 4EAT. I did not have to do any modifying to clear my exhaust either. I now have the engine, transmission and rear diff more protected for our back roads and basalt topography. Primitive makes good stuff and makes it easy to install with ramps, jackstands or a lift if you can.
